Volunteer: Neighborhood Justice Program (NJP)

Developed by Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer, the Neighborhood Justice Program (NJP) allows some first-time, non-violent offenders to take responsibility for their actions, and instead of going to court, appear before a panel of community volunteers to discuss the crime, its harm to the victims and community, and to determine an appropriate punishment.
