This morning members of the GPIA attended a tree planting event in Fletcher Square, Glassell Park. This event celebrated the planting of 140 trees in our community, including 70 new trees along San Fernando Road. The completion of this project brought both community and government together to plant the last of the trees.
We want to thank Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell for his dedication to our Glassell Park community, CD13 and City of Los Angeles. CM O'Farrell in partnership with North East Trees and Los Angeles Sanitation brought 140 new trees to Glassell Park and along San Fernando Road and in Fletcher Square.
Projects such as these bring benefit and community pride in Glassell Park. Improvements such as this are what GPIA is about, and having CM O'Farrell, a past President to represent our community at City Hall makes our efforts so much easier.
Thank you to the staff of CD13, LA Conservation Corps, Los Angeles Sanitation, LAPD and our SLO, and Gabrielle Taylor, and THANK YOU Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell.
