Chapman Wall planted with vines from CD13

January 10, 2016

On Saturday, November 21st, Council District 13 came out to take a big step toward beautifying the Chapman Street wall that forms the border between our community and Forest Lawn Cemetery. The wall has been a long-time target for graffiti, and the hope is that covering it with vines will make it less of a magnet for tagging and more attractive for the neighborhood.

Thank you to Councilmember O’Farrell, former GP Field Deputies Mary Rodriguez and Adam Bass, and

current Field Deputy Hector Vega--all from CD13--and to Forest Lawn for providing regular irrigation using reclaimed water. Thanks as well to Gabrielle Taylor, our Neighborhood Prosecutor, who came out to help along with the Los Angeles Beautification Team, the Northeast Youth Council and many neighborhood volunteers.
