As the nominating committee for the GPIA 2016 slate for our Board of Directors, we are thrilled with the candidates that we’re presenting to our GPIA members.
The GPIA has been fortunate to be carried so capably and ethically by a cadre of community activist veterans. With their support, we sought to expand the talent pool and diversity for community representation, and we’ve done just that.
Our 2016 slate of candidates include a number of entrepreneurs from various business sectors including real estate, restaurants, education and the arts. Some were born and raised right here in Glassell Park and some in the Northeast L.A. area. The others chose Glassell Park as the community in which to plant their roots.
Our candidates are a group of smart, optimistic and caring people with one major thing in common--they have all chosen to volunteer their time and energy for the betterment of our community by working as leaders of the Glassell Park Improvement Association.
