The Los Angeles River has been an identifying and connecting force throughout the history of this region.  With its most recent efforts at revitalization, we’ve seen train yards and industry give way to new uses such as housing, the Rio de Los Angeles State Park and the Sotomayor Learning Academies.

The City of LA recently purchased the G2 parcel of Taylor Yard, which connects to the state owned G1 or ‘Bow Tie’ parcel to the north.  Both parcels are, as of yet, undeveloped.

Our communities, situated adjacent to these parcels and with the River in common, have an opportunity to give voice to their future use.

We will be having an open house forum in the near future to look at what is being considered for these parcels so the community may have the opportunity to step into the process.  Please email us at gp@gpia.org if you would like to be contacted once we have confirmed the date and location of the event.
