The Glassell Park Improvement Association was established in 1968 to improve the quality of life in our community.
Glassell Park is a neighborhood of the city of L.A., located north of Dodger Stadium in the area known as Northeast Los Angeles. The GPIA is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, charitable organization. The members donate their time and energy to plant trees, participate in community clean-ups and beautification projects in Glassell Park. The GPIA also advocates for needed improvements to our infrastructure from local and state government. All residents and business owners are welcome to join the GPIA.
The meetings are open to everyone with general membership meetings on the 2nd Thursday of Odd # Months: January, March, May, (NO July Meeting), September and November at the Glassell Park Community and Senior Center.
In advance of those meetings, they send out a newsletter to members, bringing them up to date on news and issues that are important to Glassell Park.
Membership dues are $25.00 per household or family, $15.00 per individual, $12.00 for seniors 60 or older and $25.00 for businesses.
Whether you prefer to roll up your sleeves and volunteer, become a board member, or simply attend the general meetings and read our newsletter, the GPIA offers you a chance to connect with your community and meet your neighbors. Your membership fees go toward funding the cost of printing and mailing our newsletter and to support other activities that we organize on your behalf.
